Emily Jayne Kunz is an associate in the Intellectual Property and Litigation Groups in the New York office at Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP. Ms. Kunz's practice primarily focuses on pharmaceutical patent litigation. She has worked on several complex Hatch-Waxman Act litigations, including In re Omeprazole Litigation and In re Nexium Litigation. Ms. Kunz also has considerable experience with appellate practice and procedures, having worked on several appeals to the Federal Circuit or the U.S. Supreme Court.
Ms. Kunz received her B.A. in English from Brigham Young University in 1999. She graduated magna cum laude from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University in 2003, earning the distinction of being named to the Order of the Coif. During law school, Ms. Kunz was a Senior Editor for the Law Review. She was also a member of the Trial Advocacy Competition Team, qualifying in 2002 as a TYLA Regional Quarterfinalist.
Ms. Kunz has co-authored or assisted on several patent-related articles appearing in Patent Strategy & Management, Managing Intellectual Property, and the Federal Circuit Bar Association Bench & Bar Case Digest.
Ms. Kunz is a member of the bar of New York and is admitted to practice before the Southern District of New York, the Eastern District of New York and the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. |
