Elliott is a Physician interrelated to the disciplines of Medicine, Communications, Teaching and Technology. He is board certified in four disciplines including Sleep Disorders Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care Medicine, and Internal Medicine. He graduated from UOMS, Des Moines, Iowa in 1973 and then completed internship, residency, and fellowship. Prior to medical school days, he received a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and a Master’s degree in Television Production from Syracuse University. He had the pleasure of teaching as a graduate assistant at Syracuse University and has followed this teaching with programs involving medical students, allied health professionals, interns, residents, fellows and attending physicians. He speaks across the United States on topics of sleep disorders medicine and pulmonary disease. Dr. Schwartz is Co-Director of the Sleep Disorders Centers of Oklahoma and is currently involved in research involving sleep disorders, lung disease and medications affecting each of these. His love of technology is born from a combination of the intricate technologies used in Critical Care Medicine, Television Production Technologies, and a vision of technology’s potential for improving the quality of life. He is on the board of Dejima, Inc, a San Jose California leader in Natural Language Interface and is also on the board of ForHealthTechnologies, Inc, an innovator in Pharmacy Robotics. He is very proud to serve on the corporate board of Integris Health and be a physician interface to their Information System Department and be part of the"returnship" Integris provides to the people of Oklahoma. Dr. Schwartz is on the board of the Oklahoma Visual Arts Council. |
