Dr. Wang specializes in industrial organization, applied economics, intellectual properties, and financial markets with a particular expertise in antitrust issues. She has conducted both theoretical and empirical studies on antitrust cases involving market definition, monopolization, price-fixing, exclusive conducts, and merger acquisition analysis. Dr. Wang has also performed damage calculation related to intellectual properties allegations in pharmaceutical, health care and technology industries. Her experiences in financial markets include her dissertation on competition among options exchanges and analysis of derivative transactions for litigations involving one of the largest white-collar crimes by a rogue trader.
Dr. Wang has a PhD and an MA in economics from the University of Chicago and a BA in economics from Peking University. She has been involved in casework for both plaintiffs and defendants in Europe, Asia and North America. She also has extensive experience in econometric analysis using large databases. Dr. Wang joined COMPASS from LECG, where she was a Principal. Prior to LECG, she held positions at NERA and Lexecon.
