Elizabeth Rodriguez represents private and public sector employers in all areas of employment law. Her practice focuses on employment litigation, including counseling and representation in federal and state trial and appellate courts, as well as before federal, state, and local administrative agencies. Her recent cases have included issues involving the following areas: sexual harassment; sex, race, national origin, and age discrimination; the Americans with Disabilities Act; Equal Pay Act; Family and Medical Leave Act; Fair Labor Standards Act, and Florida Whistleblower's Act, along with employment-related tort and contract claims.
Elizabeth is admitted to all state and federal courts in Florida and is admitted to practice before the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and United States Supreme Court. She has successfully tried numerous cases resulting in defense verdicts. She also has extensive appellate experience and clerked with Judge Mario Goderich at the Third District Court of Appeal.
Elizabeth is a member of the Florida Bar and its Appellate Practice and Advocacy Section, the Dade County Bar Association, the Defense Research Institute, the Florida Association of Women Lawyers and the Cuban American Bar Association.
Elizabeth was named to Florida Trend magazine's "Legal Elite" (the top 1.8% of all lawyers practicing in Florida) in 2006 and 2007 and a 2007 "Super Lawyer" by Law & Politics Magazine. She is also AV® Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell.
