Elizabeth A. Watrin is president of Health Care Service Corporation’s New Mexico Division and is responsible for developing and implementing the mission, vision and strategic initiatives of this organization to support growth, profitability and financial and operational processes. Ms. Watrin oversees the day-to-day management of all health and insurance business with over 255,000 commercial members. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Mexico has administered the Indian Health Services/Contract Health Services (IHS/CHS) and the Medicaid Utilization Review contract for over sixteen and twelve years respectively.
Ms. Watrin serves on the Board of Directors for the Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce, Albuquerque Economic Development, Inc., Youth Development Inc. Foundation, and New Mexico Association of Health Plans. She also serves on the Steering Committee for ASCENT, a nonprofit organization committed to professional development of multicultural women.
Ms. Watrin has been with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Mexico for 18 years and with the Blue Cross and Blue Shield system for over 25 years.
