Ms. Howell, vice president of operations, is responsible for the operation of the electric transmission system and control area, operations engineering, reliability standard compliance, safety and security. Prior to her current position, Ms. Howell served as the manager of the Michigan Electric Coordinated Systems Control Area. She also spent 10 years at Detroit Edison in various engineering capacities, including principal engineer on the project to implement Michigan’s Electric Choice Program. Ms. Howell earned a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Lawrence Technological University and a Master of Science in electrical engineering from Michigan State University. She is a NERC certified system operator. |
