Eliezer Strassfeld practices in the areas of real estate and construction law. Eli's real estate practice involves real estate conveyancing, development, finance, and leasing, as well as condominium law. His construction practice includes drafting and negotiating design and construction contracts. Eli has particular experience working on school construction projects, and counsels school districts through the Connecticut Department of Education's reimbursement process.
Eli is one of only a handful of Connecticut lawyers who have earned designation as a LEED Accredited Professional by passing the accreditation exam administered by the Green Building Certification Institute. The U.S. Green Building Council considers LEED Accredited Professionals to have the knowledge and skills to successfully steward its LEED certification process. Eli counsels clients on compliance with "green" building requirements and executing green building programs, and can work with clients to incorporate LEED and other "green" building benchmarks into design, construction, and real estate documents.
Before attending law school, Eli was the Coordinator of Business Development and Marketing for a commercial real estate development and management company. While in law school, Eli worked for the United States House of Representatives Committee on Homeland Security and as a legal extern in the Chambers of the Honorable Chief Judge Thomas F. Hogan, United States District Court for the District of Columbia.
