Eileen Farrar joined UnumProvident Corp. in 1979 as a human resources representative. As senior vice president of human resources since 1994 she has an overall responsibility for human resources including training and management development compensation and benefits staffing executive compensation work environment philosophy and strategies and human resources programs.
Ms. Farrar has 27 years of experience in human resources and general management. Five years of experience in health care services and 21 years of experience with Unum in various human resources roles.
She is a member of the Society of Human Resources and the Human Resources Planning Society and the World at Work Association. She is also a member of the steering committee for the Human Resource Policy Institute at Boston University.
Ms. Farrar earned a bachelor's degree in biology from Tufts University in 1971 a master's in botany from the University Rhode Island in 1974 and a master's in business administration from the University of Maine at Orono in 1979. |
