Edward M. Kopko has been the President Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Butler International Inc. since January 1987. He has also served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Company's operating subsidiaries including Butler Technical Group Butler Telecom and previously Butler Aviation. Mr. Kopko is a member of the Board and the Executive Committee as well as Past President of the National Technical Services Association which represents 230 companies in the technical services industry employing approximately 280 000 people with sales in excess of $7 billion. Kopko is a sought after speaker who has appeared on CNBC CNN Dow Jones and CBS radio helping to create positive awareness for the Technical Services Industry. Mr. Kopko is involved with many charitable and civic activities including the Boy Scouts of Bergen County from whom he received the 1995 Good Scout Award; and the New Jersey U.S. Olympic Committee. In 1999 he was a recipient of the prestigious Ellis Island Medal of Honors Award which pays tribute to the ancestry groups that comprise America's unique cultural mosaic. In addition he is a member of the Ramapo College of New Jersey President's Council as well as the College's Board of Governors. He holds a B.A. degree in economics from the University of Connecticut an M.A. in economics from Columbia University and has completed doctoral work in economics also at Columbia.
