Edward Larsen, senior vice president, finance and chief financial officer, joined Talbots in 1991 in his current position. He is responsible for all aspects of finance, including accounting, credit, audit, inventory control, tax, investor relations, as well as financial planning and analysis.
Prior to joining Talbots, Ed was vice president and chief financial officer for cataloger Lillian Vernon Corporation, in Mount Vernon, New York. He previously spent ten years with Minneapolis-based General Mills in domestic and international financial management and was vice president, group controller, for General Mills specialty retailing group from 1985 to 1988. Ed has also served as an audit manager for Price Waterhouse, an international accounting firm, at the company’s Chicago office and the national office in New York.
