Edward F. Gentner, Jr. has been practicing in the areas of banking, real estate and corporate matters since 1972. He represents the firm’s lending clients in secured financing transactions, multi-family mortgage loans, leasehold mortgages, commercial office building financing and shopping center financing. He also represents the firm’s banking clients in purchases and sales of existing branches and branch sites, including the transfer of branch deposits, assets and liabilities. He also regularly represents the firm’s banking clients in the purchase and sale of all other types of real estate. Mr Gentner also has broad experience in leasing transactions and regularly negotiates all phases of branch leases for the firm’s banking clients. Mr. Gentner’s expertise also encompasses corporate matters and he represents the firm’s banking clients, as well as a wide variety of other corporate clients, in all aspects of corporate governance and ongoing regulatory and organizational issues, having been designated at various times to serve as client representative on corporate boards and other governance institutes. Mr. Gentner also has extensive experience in all phases of litigation and regularly represents the firm’s clients in all aspects of commercial litigation. His litigation experience extends to the appellate level. He serves as an arbitrator in the U.S. District Court, Eastern District. In addition to his specific areas of expertise, Mr. Gentner also engages in an extensive general practice, providing the firm's individual clients with general legal services, such as transactional real estate, wills and the administration of estates. |
