Ed, a Lorain, Ohio native, joined the firm in 1991. His practice focuses in employment, corporate, and commercial law. He concentrates in the area of workers’ compensation law where he counsels employers regarding their workers’ compensation programs. Ed has been certified as a specialist in Ohio Workers’ Compensation by the Ohio State Bar Association.
Ed received his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Ohio State University and his Juris Doctorate, with honors, from The Ohio State University School of Law, where he was active in the law student division of the Ohio State Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
He is a member of several professional organizations, including the Stark County Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, the Stark County Safety Council, as well as the Self Insured Group of Ohio and the Workers’ Compensation Forum.
He is a member of the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Jackson-Belden Chamber of Commerce, and the Massillon area Chamber of Commerce. Ed is member of the 8th Graduating Class of Leadership Stark County and has remained active with that organization as a past member of the Programming Committee, Economic Development Committee, and as Program Chair of the Justice and Safety Day committee. Ed is the 2006-2007 Chairman of the Pro Football Hall of Fame Festival’s Timken Grand Parade Committee, and has been an active volunteer for the Pro Football Hall Of Fame since 1992, having served in a number of leadership positions. In 2005, he was named one of "Ohio Rising Stars" by Cincinnati Magazine Ohio Super Lawyers " Rising Stars Edition ® and www.superlawyers.com. Ed has been selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America ® (2008).
Ed, his wife Tamara, and their children Cicily, Edward Liam, and Casey Claire reside in Jackson Township. |
