C. Edward Hege is a Director in the Audit and Accounting group at Kreischer Miller. He has 30 years of experience in providing accounting, auditing, tax and business advisory services to non-public and famliy-owned businesses. As a specialist in the media publishing and printing practice, Ed serves as the coordinator for Kreischer Miller. He also has significant experience in mergers and acquisitions, business valuations, estate planning, and general tax matters.
Ed received a Bachelor of Science degree from Temple University. Prior to merging with Kreischer Miller, Ed was one of the founding directors of Hege Kramer Connell Murphy & Goldkamp, P.C. He was also a partner with KPMG Peat Marwick.
Ed is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the International Newspaper Financial Executives. He is active in the Pennsylvania Newspaper Association and the New Jersey Press Association. He has lectured on accounting at Drexel University and has authored various accounting and tax articles for publication. Ed has conducted seminars and speeches including presentations to the Pennsylvania Newspaper Association on the application of the Manufacturers' Deduction for Newspapers, to the New Jersey Press Association on the survival of the closely-held family newspaper, and a speech to the New England Association of Circulation Executives on Adult/Carrier/Independent Contractor Tax Status. |
