Edward C. Cutlip, Jr. is a Member of Kerr, Russell and Weber, PLC. Mr. Cutlip’s practice is concentrated in the areas of commercial litigation, employment discrimination and termination litigation, products liability and litigation between members, partners and shareholders. Internationally recognized law firms frequently contact Mr. Cutlip to serve as local counsel. Mr. Cutlip has demonstrated a keen ability in handling a wide range of cases ranging from simple disputes to the coordination of defense efforts in mass tort litigation involving thousands of claims.
Mr. Cutlip is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the American Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association. From 1987 until 1994 Mr. Cutlip was a member of the US Courts Committee of the State Bar of Michigan and chaired the Committee from 1991 to 1994. Since 1985 Mr. Cutlip has been actively litigating in numerous courts in the State of Michigan, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. In addition, to numerous trials, Mr. Cutlip has participated in several methods of alternative dispute resolution including facilitations, mediations, case evaluations and arbitrations.
Mr. Cutlip is a 1983 magna cum laude graduate from the University of Detroit Law School. Prior to joining Kerr, Russell and Weber in 1985, Mr. Cutlip clerked two years for the Honorable Robert E. DeMascio, United States District Court, Eastern District of Michigan. |
