Born in Belo Horizonte, state of Minas Gerais, Brazil, in 1960. Bachelor´s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the PUC (Pontificia Universidade Católica) of Minas Gerais, Brazil.

Worked for Fiat Automóveis as Production Engineer.
Working for Embraer since 1984 as following:
Strucutual Engineer, EMB-120 Program Manager, Technical Support Director, Managing Director and COO of Embraer Aircraft Customer Services in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, as Vice-President Customer Support - Airline Market, and last April 23, 2007 has been named as Senior Vice-President Aviation Services.
