Edgar Masri is President and Chief Executive Officer of 3Com. He leads the company’s global operations. Edgar is also a member of the Board of Directors and serves as Chairman of the Board and a Director of 3Com’s majority-owned joint venture, Huawei-3Com (H-3C).
Prior to re-joining 3Com as President and CEO, Edgar spent six years at Matrix Partners, a venture capital firm focused on technology investments, and more recently served as Chief Operating Officer at Redline Communications.
During his first tenure at 3Com, Edgar led 3Com’s Network Systems Business Unit as Senior Vice President and General Manager. In this position, Edgar had worldwide responsibility for the development, manufacturing and marketing of 3Com’s range of industry-leading enterprise and carrier systems products. Prior to this position, Edgar managed the Workgroup Systems Business Unit. Under his leadership, the division grew to more than $1 billion in sales and, according to industry research groups, held 35 percent market share. Edgar also served as President of 3Com Ventures, the company’s venture arm, and held management positions in Product Management, Marketing and Business Development.
Edgar holds a Diplome d’Ingenieur from Ecole Centrale de Paris, a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley and a Master of Business Administration with distinction (Arijay Miller Scholar) from Stanford University. |
