Ed Tourtellotte is the president of Tourtellotte Solutions, a company he founded as a new kind of hybrid: a software development and consulting firm which combined a culture of technological prowess and achievement with "Big Six"-style customer focus. This philosophy resulted in a string of successes, bringing groundbreaking new technology (such as IWRS) to the biopharmaceutical world. The company's clinical trial supply modeler and forecaster, tcVisualize(tm), was originally designed by Ed himself and is currently the world's only clinical supply simulation package available for the desktop. Now in use by a number of major biopharmaceutical companies, tcVisualize was released in its 3.0 version in August 2007. The firm's other flagship product, RockBlocks®, is the most widely adopted retail sourcing solution worldwide.
Before founding Tourtellotte Solutions in 1998, Ed was at Ernst & Young, LLP as a Manager with an IT focus. From 1993 until 1997, Ed served a variety of customers in the telecom, consumer products, and logistics sectors. He played a significant role in the development and rollout of Sprint Internet in 1996, for which work he received E&Y Award; he led the development of a strategic forecasting system for UPS in 1995, for which achievement he also received an E&Y Award; and he held various design and development roles for BellSouth, BellSouth International, and BellSouth.net in 1993, 1994, and 1997. Prior to his years at Ernst & Young, Ed was a consultant at Andersen Consulting focused on their advanced logistics center in Atlanta.
Ed has a BA economics from Duke University. |
