Favorite Childhood Trip: When I was 12 years old, my mom and grandmother took me on a summer tour of all the major amusement parks along the East and West Coasts. That's right -- five weeks of nothing but playing and eating greasy food -- paradise! I went on every ride imaginable -- the wilder the better! My mom and grandmother mostly just watched. It was the most memorable summer of my life. My favorite amusement park? Magic Mountain in Southern California -- they had the biggest and fastest roller coasters.
Other Great Trips: On my honeymoon, my wife and I went to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Not much to do there besides lay on the beach or by the pool, order margueritas and nap -- fine by me! I "worked out" by snorkeling and playing ping-pong. The local people there were quite friendly, the sunsets were beautiful and the mornings were so quiet you felt like you were a million miles away from the nearest phone. Also, if I didn't mention my honeymoon amongst "memorable trips," my wife would kill me!
Favorite City: San Francisco -- amazing history, beautiful surroundings, fantastic food. Nothing comes close to strolling along the pier on a cold, damp January morning and then warming up with some steaming hot New England clam chowder served to you in a fresh sourdough bread bowl. I'll have the fresh shrimp cocktail for dessert, please! San Francisco is also the site of my favorite pizza parlor -- Blondie's. They serve pizza by the slice, and the slices are the size of a small yacht. Yes, food goes a long way with me!
Favorite eBags Feature: The power search. Using the site's search feature, I can easily pull up exactly the bag I want from eBags' huge selection. Within seconds, I can be ordering the right bag at the right price!
Favorite Product: The Atlantic Infinity III Roller Duffel. Atlantic took my favorite bag (duffel) and added recessed inline wheels and a light-weight aluminum pull handle. Now I can enjoy the packing ease of a duffel and don't have to worry about lugging it through enormous airports; I can simply pull it behind me. |
