Dwight V. Neese President & Chief Executive Officer
Dwight Neese joined Provident Community Bank September 5 1995 as its president chief executive officer and board member. He has thirty-two years experience in the financial services industry in South Carolina.
Mr. Neese began his financial career in 1973 when he joined First Federal of South Carolina in Greenville SC as a management trainee. He later served as a Loan Officer a Branch Manager Vice President and Regional Manager of the Greenville region. In 1986 he was elected Division President and the following year Senior Vice President.
In 1992 Mr. Neese joined Home Federal Savings Bank of South Carolina in Rock Hill SC as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. He served as chairman of the Bank’s Executive Loan Committee and Board Loan Committee. He also served on the ALCO and Senior Management Committees. Mr. Neese attended the board meetings.
Mr. Neese received a B.A. from the University of South Carolina in 1972 and graduated from the Graduate School of Retail Bank Management at the University of Virginia in 1989. Also in 1991 Mr. Neese graduated from the Commercial Lending School at East Carolina University in Greenville NC. Mr. Neese completed the Dale Carnegie Leadership Training for Managers course in 2000 and graduated from Leadership South Carolina in 2001. Mr. Neese participated in the inaugural Forum for Corporate Conscience in Charlotte North Carolina in 2003.
Mr. Neese is currently serving as Chairman Elect of the South Carolina Bankers Association Board of Directors. He is President of the Catawba Regional Community Finance Corporation and Vice President of the Catawba Regional Development Corporation. He is immediate Past President of the Palmetto Council of the Boy Scouts of America and is also serving as Area President of the Southern Region of the BSA. He is a Paul Harris Fellow in the Union Rotary Club. Mr. Neese and his family are members of Westminister Presbyterian Church in Rock Hill South Carolina.
Mr. Neese previously served as president of Keystone and the Union County YMCA and the United Way of Union County. He previously served as chairman of the Young Management Division and served on the boards of the Community Financial Institutions of South Carolina the South Carolina Literacy Association and the National Society to Prevent Blindness. Mr. Neese also served as chairman of the board of deacons treasurer and elder of First Presbyterian Church in Greenville SC.
