Doug Martin joined AgileDelta in December 2005. He spent sixteen years at Microsoft Corporation in a variety of roles, including leading the early stages of Microsoft’s worldwide education sales and marketing group. Doug helped develop the concept and launched Microsoft’s line of Academic Edition software, created the company’s Authorized Education Reseller program, and oversaw the growth of Microsoft’s Education business from $5 million to over $100 million. He also initiated and led the company’s focus on small and mid-size business customers, and developed sales and marketing strategies for a variety of vertical and horizontal market segments. Doug has consulted a number of startups on business strategy, target markets, and product positioning, including DataConcert, a provider of software that linked large enterprises with the small and mid-size businesses in their supply chain. He currently serves as a director on the boards of several non-profit organizations in the Seattle area. Doug has a BA degree from the University of Washington and a Master of Management degree from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University. |
