A native of Columbus, Mississippi, Dorothy attended Mississippi University for Women, graduating cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. At the W, she was a member of the Silhouette Social Club and recipient of The Wall Street Journal Student Achievement Award. Dorothy worked fifteen years in the banking and financial industry in Jackson and then began her career in public accounting with a local accounting firm. In 1994, Dorothy brought her many talents to GranthamPoole as the Business Manager and holds a shareholder position. Dorothy’s additional responsibility is assisting the firm’s medical and dental clients with tax and financial planning advice. Dorothy was recently selected by the Mississippi Business Journal as one of Mississippi’s Fifty Leading Business Women for 2004. Dorothy is married to Bill Gray and they are parents of twin daughters, Amanda and Courtney. The Grays are active members of Christ United Methodist Church in Jackson, where Amanda was recently married. In her spare time, Dorothy enjoys gardening and volunteer work with Habitat for Humanity, Operation Shoestring, Stewpot Community Services, and TimberCreek Christian Family Camp, along with cheering for the Mississippi State Bulldogs. |
