Mr. Wilson began his career in the trading industry in 1989 and soon thereafter started trading in the Eurodollar option pit at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange ("CME"). Mr. Wilson has traded in several different markets over the years and currently focuses his trading on fixed income derivatives. Mr. Wilson started his career with LETCO, where he participated in a special training program, was involved in a number of research projects and traded interest rate and currency options from off the trading floor. After his time off the trading floor, he began to trade Eurodollar options, and interest rate products tied to three month LIBOR, on the floor of the CME. In 1992, Mr. Wilson founded the DRW Trading Group. Over the course of his tenure in the Eurodollar option pit, he has been one of its largest traders, providing significant liquidity to the market, and has been instrumental in its development into one of the largest and most successful option pits at any exchange. Mr. Wilson has also traded in the Bund option pit at the London International Financial Futures and Options Exchange ("LIFFE") and has traded a variety of other financial products. Today, along with being the chief executive of the DRW Trading Group, Mr. Wilson is still active in trading Eurodollar options and other interest rate derivatives. Mr. Wilson is a member of the CME, the Chicago Board of Trade, the Chicago Board Options Exchange, and the LIFFE. Over the course of his membership at the CME, Mr. Wilson has been an active participant in exchange matters. He has been actively involved in GLOBEX, the electronic trading platform at the CME, since its inception. He has also served on a variety of committees, including the Eurodollar Option Pit Committee, the Pit Supervision Committee, the Financial Options Committee, the Interest Rate Futures Committee, the GLOBEX oversight Committee and the "Treasury Facility Task Force". Mr. Wilson has also been actively involved in the development of new products at the CME. Mr. Wilson graduated with honors from the University of Chicago with a B. A. in Economics in 1988. |
