Donald H. Putnam, age 55, has been one of our independent directors since August 2003. Mr. Putnam is currently the Managing Partner of Grail Partners LLC, a merchant banking firm providing advice and capital to the investment management business worldwide that he founded in 2005. From 1987 through 2004, he was chief executive officer of Putnam Lovell NBF Securities Inc. Putnam Lovell is a global investment banking firm Mr. Putnam founded in 1987 and sold in 2002 to National Bank Financial, the broker/dealer subsidiary of National Bank of Canada. From 1980 to 1986, Mr. Putnam held various senior positions at SEI Investments Inc., a publicly-owned investment advisory firm. From 1978 to 1980, Mr. Putnam was a senior consultant at Catallatics Corporation, a financial services company, where he devised new products and strategies for banking clients. From 1973 to 1978, Mr. Putnam held various positions in the trust and investment group of Bankers Trust Company. Mr. Putnam attended Franklin Pierce College and New York University.
