Dr. Kuhla served as a Synthetech director between 1997 and 2000. Dr. Kuhla was President and Chief Operating Officer of Albany Molecular Research, Inc. (?AMRI?), a chemical contract research organization from July 1998 to February 2003. Dr. Kuhla continues to serve AMRI as a director. From 1994 through 1998, Dr. Kuhla was Vice President of Plexus Ventures, Inc., a business consulting firm. Dr. Kuhla held senior management positions with two venture capital backed, biotechnology startup companies. His early career was spent in research and development and operations management positions with Pfizer Inc. and Rorer Group, Inc. His last position at Rorer was Senior Vice President of Operations. Dr. Kuhla is also a director of NPS Pharmaceuticals Inc. Dr. Kuhla received a Ph.D. degree in Organic Chemistry from Ohio State University. |
