Donald C. Heppermann served as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Secretary of MarkWest Hydrocarbon and the general partner of MarkWest Energy Partners since October 2003 until his retirement in March 2004. Mr. Heppermann joined MarkWest Hydrocarbon and the general partner of the Partnership in November 2002 as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, and served as Senior Executive Vice President beginning in January 2003. Mr. Heppermann has served as a member of the Company’s Board of Directors since November 2002 and the general partner of the Partnership’s board of directors since its inception in May 2002 and serves as Chairman of the Finance Committee. Prior to joining MarkWest Hydrocarbon and the general partner of MarkWest Energy Partners, Mr. Heppermann was a private investor and a career executive in the energy industry with responsibilities in operations, finance, business development and strategic planning. From 1990 to 1997, Mr. Heppermann served as President and Chief Operating Officer for InterCoast Energy Company, an unregulated subsidiary of Mid American Energy Company. From 1987 to 1990, Mr. Heppermann was employed by Pinnacle West Capital Corporation, the holding company for Arizona Public Service Company, where he was Vice President of Finance. From 1965 to 1987, Enron Corporation and its predecessors employed Mr. Heppermann in a variety of positions, including Executive Vice President, Gas Pipeline Group. |
