Don Deegan is responsible for True Value Company’s controllership function, managing financial operations in corporate accounting, logistics, sales and marketing and merchandise supply chain. Deegan also supervises financial and SEC reporting and directs budgeting and tax compliance activities. He joined the co-op in late 2004, bringing with him 20 years of financial, business development and strategy development experience.
Before joining True Value Company, Deegan worked at SPX Corporation as vice president of finance for the company’s Filtran Division. During this time, he helped turn the profitable but declining business around and assisted in the establishment of manufacturing operations in China. Prior to that, he helped grow the Imaging Group at Bell & Howell as vice president of finance and business development and later as business unit president. Deegan began his career in Chicago in 1984 with Price Waterhouse.
Deegan holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Illinois and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Chicago. He is also a certified public accountant. |
