Dr. Tsou co-founded ATopTech in 2003 with Kaiwin Lee, prior to ATopTech, he held various senior management and technical positions at Synopsys, Avant!, ArcSys, Tandem, Wang and IBM. At Tandem (1983-1991), Dr. Tsou was one of the original four designers who built NonStop SQL, which generated over $1 billion revenue. In 1992 at ArcSys, he was one of the original designers who built ArcCell/ArcUtil, the leading place and route solution of its time, which successfully led to Avant!´s IPO in 1995. In 1997, as R&D director of Avant!, Dr. Tsou created Milkyway, the common environment of database, GUI, library and design data. While at Avant!, Dr. Tsou successfully developed C-API for the top tier semiconductor companies to adopt the Milkyway flow into their system-on-chip designs. This adoption made Milkyway an industry standard in EDA. He holds a B.S. in electrical engineering from National Taiwan University and a Ph.D. in computer science from The Pennsylvania State University. |
