Djalma Bastos de Morais - 70, has a degree in communications engineering, with postgraduate studies in telephony and information technology, from Instituto Militar de Engenharia (IME). From 1995 to 1998 he was Vice-President of the Brazilian oil company Petrobras Distribuidora S.A. From 1993 to 1994 he was Brazil’s Minister of Communications. Other posts he has held include: CEO of Telemig (Telecomunicações de Minas Gerais S.A.); manager of Telebrás (Telecomunicações Brasileiras S.A.), Operations Director of Telemat (Telecomunicações de Mato Grosso), Operations Director of Telemazon (Telecomunicações do Amazonas), and manager Telefônica Municipal S.A. - Telemusa. |
