Dinesh Kumar has over 20 years experience as a successful entrepreneur, and a significant IT & BPO industry experience. He led softProjex' IT efforts to develop and deliver the commercial mortgage industry's first Investor Reporting package from the country. He played a pivotal role when softProjex’ BPO arm ventured into the Commercial and Residential Mortgage Underwriting market. His strategic decisions at the right instance resulted in a competitive advantage and have provided competitive edge to softProjex. His exertion included strategic planning and management for a variety of business, banking, financial services, manufacturing and retail clients. Clients include Fortune 500® companies, as well as, many leading US & Europe-based organizations. He is also Managing Director of XL Telecom Limited, an associate concern of softProjex. He spearheaded XL's growth from $10 million to $100 million revenue and as market leader in three divisions: Telecom, Solar Photovoltaic Systems and Ethanol. The Telecom division assembles and distributes code division multiple access (CDMA) mobile handsets. Under his guidance Kyocera Wireless, a business partner of XL Telecom, has succeeded as a leading CDMA handset maker. The Solar Photovoltaic Systems division manufactures solar photovoltaic systems, which include solar photovoltaic power plants (standalone and grid based), and solar photovoltaic home and street lighting systems. The ethanol division is a state-of-the-art fuel ethanol production plant, the largest stand alone plant in India, and has the capacity to produce 1.5 lakh litres of ethanol per day through the molecular sieve method. The setting up of this fuel ethanol plant simultaneously bolstered security of energy supplies and improved farm incomes. |
