As President, CEO and founder of TaxAutomation Inc., Mr. Hinz is responsible for all critical business operations including strategic planning, partnerships and alliances as well as corporate methodology. Having past technical expertise himself, he is invaluable during the initial stages of client interaction. Mr. Hinz works closely with his clients in considering the business requirements in order to determine technical solutions. He continues to stay involved in the initial design phase of projects to thoroughly understand the scope of the project so that it may be properly managed and delivered. Mr. Hinz always has an eye on Industry Direction and Best Practices. Prior to founding TaxAutomation Inc., Mr. Hinz worked for MEATRA AG of Switzerland and its SETAC subsidiaries, which are worldwide SAP service providers. Prior to joining MEATRA, Mr. Hinz worked in SAP AG's German Development Center and for the STEEB subsidiary of SAP AG. A vital technical contributor to SAP AG and its STEEB subsidiary, Mr. Hinz has helped bring important technical and functional improvements to major European and South and North American companies looking to implement comprehensive SAP R/3 systems to allow for integration with the Internet. Due to his broad experience and knowledge with SAP, Mr. Hinz has been called to serve as an expert witness in SAP related legal proceedings. Recently, Mr. Hinz has assisted small and large companies alike to transform their business operations to allow for complete business integration with existing ERP and legacy applications. Mr. Hinz graduated from Germany's State Academy for DATA Processing in Boeblingen, Germany. In more than 15 years of SAP consulting experience, Mr. Hinz has assisted numerous companies in various industries with their SAP implementation efforts. With an academic background in computer science and accounting, Mr. Hinz joined SAP AG in 1990 as a software developer, working on the initial release of the R/3 system. In 1994, Mr. Hinz joined the consulting practice of a global accounting firm, where he served as a senior manager in several R/3 implementations, covering the complete life-cycle of these implementations. Since 1997, Mr. Hinz has specialized in performing assessments, recommending integrated solutions and implementing sales and use tax solutions for major North American corporations. Mr. Hinz and his firm have developed a unique approach to maximizing the return-on-investment of third-party tax calculation packages in SAP R/3 environments. Mr. Hinz has implemented external tax calculation packages (Vertex, Taxware) to add additional tax calculation functionality to SAP R/3 in over 3 dozen customer sites from 1/98 through the present. The customers included: RailAmerica, Montblanc, Kellogg, Entergy, Becton-Dickinson, Fedex, Aventis Pharmaceuticals, Sony Electronics, Anheuser-Busch, Siemens Westinghouse, IBM and John Deere. He has implemented the standard SAP interface for external tax calculation packages, including the necessary configuration within the FI, SD and MM, RE and CRM modules. |
