Diann Alexander is a member of the firm's transactional department and specializes in real estate law. Her practice concerns real property acquisitions and dispositions, leasing (including commercial, office, ground and retail leases) and tax-deferred exchanges. She also has experience with title and survey review. Ms. Alexander has been involved with the leasing of River at Rancho Mirage in Rancho Mirage, CA, Bella Terra in Huntington Beach, CA, and Tesoro Village in Valencia, CA. She has also represented many developers in acquisition-disposition transactions. PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS Ms. Alexander is a member of the State Bar of California, Los Angeles County Bar Association and International Council of Shopping Centers. AUTHORSHIPS Ms. Alexander authored the Comment "In the Aftermath of 'Clinton v. Jones': An Argument in Favor of Legislation Permitting a Sitting President to Defer Litigation," 28 Sw. U.L. Rev. 71 (1998). EDUCATION Ms. Alexander graduated magna cum laude, in the top five percent of her class, from Southwestern University School of Law in 1999. During law school she served as an Associate Editor for the Southwestern University Law Review and Extern for The Honorable Dean D. Pregerson of the United States District Court, Central District of California. She was also an Alternate Oralist Finalist in Southwestern's Moot Court Honors Program Intramural Competition. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Alexander worked as a News Room Coordinator for Business Wire. Ms. Alexander graduated cum laude from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1993 with a B.A. degree in Political Science and a Specialization in Business and Administration.
