DeWayne Roberts is the Senior Vice President of Operations with 29 years in the power industry. Prior to joining Sithe Global, Mr. Roberts was Vice President of Engineering and Operations for Globeleq an emerging markets power company. Mr. Roberts established the engineering group for Globeleq and supported the acquisition, construction and operations of 7200 MW of assets. From 1994 to 1999, Mr. Roberts was with Sithe Energy, first in New York, and then in Hong Kong, where he was COO for Sithe Asia. Between 1988 and 1994 he worked for Enron, first as a plant manager and then as Senior VP Operations. At Enron and Sithe, Mr. Roberts was responsible for establishing the initial operations of 7000 MW in 13 different countries. He has been involved in hydro electric and fossil fuel plants including coal, heavy fuel oil and natural gas. Mr. Roberts began his career with General Electric, working in plant installation, customer service and operations. Mr. Roberts has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Missouri. |
