Derith Jarvis joined Mohr Partners as the Director of Research Services after an extensive and successful career with Nielsen Media Research, a leading provider of television audience measurement and related services. Derith began his career with Nielsen Media Research in June of 1998 after a four-year enlistment in the United States Navy as an Avionics Technician. He started at Nielsen as a field representative in the New Orleans area and within months made the move to Dallas where he also worked as a field representative and began his ascent through Nielsen's field operations organization. Derith held several positions with Nielsen including Field Representative, Senior Field Representative, Market Coordinator (Operations and Logistics), and Regional Manager Field Operations of Nielsen's New York Operations. During his tenure at Nielsen, Derith assisted the organization in avoiding a unionization attempt while consistently improving the company’s performance and growing the business. He also developed training modules that were adopted for nationwide use. He has a solid grasp of cost efficiencies and productivity issues, including allocation of labor and other resources to maximize profitability while maintaining quality. In the past six years, Derith received several individual and team accolades. During his tenure with Nielsen Media Research, Derith established himself as a leader through his drive, work ethic, and leadership skills.Derith studied Business Management at the University of Phoenix. He has been involved with a number of charities including Inter-Religious Fellowship for the Homeless of Bergen County and Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. Derith and his wife Sonia have three children (Christopher, Ayanna, and Jayden) and currently reside in the Dallas area. |
