Derek has six years experience as a management consultant at one of the world’s largest global consulting firms. Before entering consulting, he was an IT manager for GE Capital European Equipment Finance based in London, where he was trained as a Six Sigma Black Belt. As a management consultant, Derek has consulted, led, trained and coached teams in Six Sigma across all levels of client organizations. Derek particularly specializes on the impacts of Six Sigma led business transformation in IT environments within service & transactional organizations. In addition, Derek has experience in successfully driving change across a variety of industry sectors including financial services, telecommunications, entertainment & media, utilities, government (defence) and consumer goods. He has worked on assignments with companies such as GE Capital, Scottish Power, Cable & Wireless, Diageo, Edison Mission Energy, Vodafone UK Limited, Thus, Ministry of Defence, and the National Grid Company. Derek holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honours in Systems Analysis and a Master of Business Administration.
