Since 1992, Derek Jacobs has engaged through private company and boutique organisations in corporate finance and management consultancy in the areas of strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital fund raising and investment, company formations, and interim company management. Derek possesses extensive executive experience. As Managing Director of Metel Box (S.A.) Ltd., he conceived and implemented the merger between Metal Box and Nampak Ltd. to create the largest packaging company in the Southern Hemisphere. While serving as Vice Chairman, he managed the restructuring of loss making packaging company Encase Holdings Ltd. During 1987 to 1992 as Vice Chairman led management buy-in, formation and ultimate disposal of packaging company Crown Industrial Group. His next endeavour enabled him to assist with preparation and listing of UtiW - a global logistics group on the Luxembourg and NASDAQ Stock Exchanges. Since 2004, Derek has served as the Non-Exec. Chairman of Elstat Electronics Ltd. assisting with their strategy and fund raising activities. Derek is married with three children. He lives in Oxfordshire, England. |
