Denny Johnson has been in the computer industry since 1976. After completing his education with a double major in Accounting and Finance, he became a marketing representative for IBM, selling mid-range systems for accounting and business management to the distribution industry. In 1979 he left IBM to form Johnson, Webster and Associates, a software development firm and IBM's first Value Added Remarketer of business systems in Alabama. After selling his business, Denny joined Martin Marietta Aerospace (now Lockheed Martin), and became responsible for the management of all Finance systems. Here he led the migration of Estimating and Cost Control applications from the Mainframe to PCs. He was responsible for directing all system development activities for 1,000 finance employees. In 1985, Denny formed his consulting practice on a part-time basis while still at Martin Marietta. In 1992, he turned it into a full-time opportunity. The business has been profitable every month since it was formed. Denny has been active in the Central Florida community. He has served on the Board of Directors and held the office of Vice President of Membership for the Lake Mary/Heathrow Chamber of Commerce. He has also held the position of Chairman of the National MS Society Systems Committee in Central Florida. Denny also serves on the Board of Advisors for Columbia Data Products, Inc. In addition to providing the overall management activities of SOFTRITE, Denny spends his time doing Software and database development in Visual Basic and Delphi, and also provides consulting on business strategy and assessment. |
