Dennis Langley Biography :

Dennis Langley grew up in the oil and gas industry. His father, W.C., was a project superintendent on pipelines, refineries and gas processing plants. He instilled a strong work ethic in his son, having him work during summers and school holidays from age 13 on. This first-hand experience in energy would prove invaluable. Langley has worked as a laborer, pipe-fitter, millwright, form-fabricator, instrument fitter and project engineer. By the time he was 16, his family had lived in more than two dozen states. Langley chose to complete high school in Haven, Kansas, while the rest of his family moved on. Focused and self-disciplined, he was an accomplished student, athlete, and debater, although essentially on his own from the age of fifteen.Traditional ethanol technology is excellent in that it provides clean air, but E3 BioFuels technology not only provides clean air, but clean water and clean land. Dennis Langley, CEO of E3 BioFuels He worked his way through the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., becoming not only the first member of his family to graduate college, but the outstanding male graduate of his 1973 class, Summa Cum Laude, and winner of the national debate championship. He went on to get his master's and law degrees from Catholic, as well. Langley gained Capitol Hill experience as Counsel to the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee before returning to the energy industry. Over the following 30 years, Langley owned, operated, built, and/or engineered over $2 billion worth of energy infrastructure projects. He always pursued a policy of "no net loss" to the environment. With his expertise and vision, he created, managed and expanded Kansas Pipeline Company. Upon federal utility deregulation, it became the first interstate natural gas pipeline chartered to create competition. It secured substantial portions of Kansas and Missouri markets, reduced local transmission prices for the first time in nearly 50 years, and virtually eliminated service interruptions, which had been commonplace. After the sale of Kansas Pipeline in 1999, Dennis Langley founded a new company to develop the next generation of renewable energy. It was called Earth, Energy and Environment, LLC, a parent company of E3 BioFuels, LLC. Langley is married, and together with his wife, has five children and resides in the Black Hills of South Dakota and the outskirts of Kansas City.
