Dennis Flanagan 67 is a retired oil executive. He worked in the oil and gas industry for more than 40 years with Ranger Oil Limited. and ELAN Energy Inc. most recently as Executive Chair of ELAN until it was bought by Ranger in 1997. He was involved in all phases of exploration and development in Canada the US and the UK sector of the North Sea.
Dennis completed the Registered Industrial and Cost Accountant program the predecessor to the Certified Management Accountant program in 1967. He worked in various accounting and management positions at Ranger including as the Chief Financial Officer.
Dennis is Chair of Canexus Income Fund an affiliate controlled by Nexen and a director of NAL Oil & Gas Trust. He is also founding Chair of STARS (Shock Trauma Air Rescue) Foundation.
