Dennis is responsible for the profitability and growth of CNA's Field Operations East which encompasses basically all branch offices east of the Mississippi River with the exception of Chicago/Lombard and Milwaukee/Brookfield. He is the former president of CNA's South Region.
Before joining CNA in 2001 Dennis was senior vice president Midwest Region for Fireman's Fund Insurance Company. Prior to this he was senior vice president Midwest and Mid-Atlantic Regions for Zurich. He started his insurance career with the Hartford Insurance Group as a marketing and underwriting trainee.
A Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) Dennis has significant experience in underwriting general management marketing sales planning strategic planning organization design and development and managing change.
He has a bachelor's degree in English Literature and a business certificate from the University of Cincinnati. He has also completed the Advanced Executive Education Program at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business; and the Management Development Program at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Business.
