Bookshester is a business consultant and former Chief Executive Officer for Turtle Wax Inc. He has been Chairman of the Board of Cutanix Corporation, a company principally engaged in scientific skin research, since November 1997. Concurrently, Bookshester was the Chief Executive Officer of Fruit of the Loom, Inc. from June 1999 to May 2002. From December 1990 to May 1991, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Zale Corporation, a company principally involved in the retail sale of jewelry. Bookshester was Corporate Vice Chairman, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Retail Group of Carson Pirie Scott & Co., positions he held from 1984 to 1989. In addition, he is the Chairman of the Illinois Racing Board and a member of the board of directors of Northwestern Hospital Foundation. He is on the Visiting Committee of the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. Bookshester, 65, is a member of the Audit Committee of the Board.
