Denise Morrison was appointed President-U.S. Soup, Sauces, and Beverages in June 2005. This business unit had sales of approximately $3 billion in Fiscal Year 2004. Denise is also responsible for Campbell's U.S. Supply Chain, Research and Development, Marketing, Strategy, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Consumer and Customer Insights, and the Sales organizations. She reports to Mark A. Sarvary, Executive Vice President and President-Campbell North America.
Denise joined Campbell in April 2003 as President-Global Sales and Chief Customer Officer. Before that, she served as Executive Vice President and General Manager of Kraft Foods' Snacks and Confections divisions, responsible for leading brands such as Planters nuts, Life Savers candies, and Altoids mints.
Denise began her career in the sales organization at Procter & Gamble in Boston, Mass. She later joined Pepsi-Cola in Trade and Sales Development. She then spent most of the 1980s at Nestle USA, where she held senior sales and marketing positions, including Business Director for Confections Marketing, National Sales Manager Frozen/Chilled, and Vice President Sales and Marketing for Nestle Ice Cream Company.
In 1995, Denise moved to Nabisco Inc., where she served as Senior Vice President and led the Nabisco Food company's sales organization and was General Manager for the Down the Street division.
Denise serves on various boards, including The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, the Food Industry Crusade Against Hunger, Students in Free Enterprise, the Advisory Board for Catalyst and the Board of Directors for Ballard Power Systems. She is President of the New Jersey Women's Forum.
Denise was named Executive of the Year for 2003 by Snack Food & Bakery magazine. She also received the 2003 Althea Gibson Beacon award for Business Leadership and was separately recognized as a New Jersey "Woman of Influence" by NJBiz magazine. In 2001, she was appointed to the New York YWCA Academy of Women Achievers. She also has been one of Fortune magazine's "Most Powerful Women in Business" since 1999.
Denise earned her Bachelor of Science degree in economics and psychology from Boston College in 1975, graduating magna cum laude. She was inducted into the Order of the Cross and Crown Honor Society for academic and extracurricular achievement. |
