In her role as Head of Human Capital, Ms. Abood is focused on the long-term commitment to employees, exploring creative and enhanced ways of investing in our employees and promoting company wide employee satisfaction. Ms. Abood is responsible for seven functions critical to the firm’s growth including Organizational Development & Training, Human Resources, Employee Recruiting, Compensation & Benefits, Facilities, Payroll and Mail Services. Ms. Abood became the Head of Human Capital for all of LPL Financial in January of 2007. Ms. Abood was formerly UVEST Financial Services’ Chief Financial Officer where she had overall responsibility for finance, accounting, technology, compliance, legal and human resource functions. She also led the UVEST Mortgage Company.Prior to joining UVEST, she held two roles at Wachovia Bank, initially as the Chief Financial Officer for Capital Markets Services and then as Head of the Technology Business Office.Prior to that time, Ms. Abood was the Chief Operating Officer for PwC Financial Solutions, an organization providing financial services to the insurance industry. Earlier roles included Chief Financial Officer for the TIG Insurance Company commercial division, Treasurer for TIG, and Senior Investment Manager for The Progressive Corporation. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio. She received her CPA Certification from the State of Ohio in 1985 and holds the Series 27 securities license. |
