Denise Field is a Shareholder in the San Francisco office of Buchalter Nemer, Co-Chair of the firm’s Mortgage Banking Practice Group and a member of the Litigation Group. Ms. Field specializes in financial institutions, business, and commercial litigation, representing mortgage lenders, equipment leasing companies, consumer finance companies, and commercial lenders. Ms. Field defends financial institutions in consumer class actions, and handles litigation involving federal consumer credit laws, unfair business practices, and a wide range of commercial matters. She also has extensive experience with matters involving creditors’ rights, provisional remedies, and post-judgment enforcement.
Ms. Field is a frequent lecturer to industry trade associations on mortgage lending issues and creditor’s rights.
Ms. Field received her A.B., with distinction, from the University of Michigan in 1980. She earned her J.D. in 1983 from the University of California Davis School of Law, where she served as Executive Editor of the UC Davis Law Review.
