Description of Practice:
Delmar is a partner in our Century City office, where he practices real estate law with an emphasis on development and construction, leasing, and purchase and sale transactions. His experience includes representing a wide range of clients, including owners, developers, contractors, landlords, tenants, sellers, buyers, and other business enterprises. In his work for such clients, Delmar has been responsible for the preparation and negotiation of development, construction, design, acquisition, sale, and all other forms of project documentation for use in a broad range of situations. He has also worked with clients in all aspects of projects in which they are involved, and has given seminars to builders, landlords, and developers on a variety of legal issues impacting their business activities.
Delmar's recent transaction matters include the development, design, and construction of many major office complexes, retail centers and residential developments across the western United States (including Hawaii). In such capacity, Delmar has been the lead legal representative on such matters as the complete remodel of a renowned shopping center in Honolulu to a ground up construction of a multi-building commercial office project in San Diego to a redevelopment of an existing office project to residential condominiums in Washington state. Additionally, he has been the lead legal representative for several leading firm clients in leasing transactions for projects throughout California, with particular emphasis on the markets of Ventura County, Los Angeles County (especially West Los Angeles, El Segundo and Long Beach), Orange County, and each of their included submarkets.
Delmar is often called upon to help clients develop and implement construction, design, asset management, leasing, and management strategies and to assist with form preparation and deal specific documentation for office, retail, and industrial projects.
Delmar was named a "Rising Star" by the Los Angeles Magazine in 2007. He is also a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the Century City and Beverly Hills Bar Associations.
Educational History:
Delmar received a B.A. in psychology and a B.A. in economics at the University of California at San Diego, and obtained his law degree from the University of California at Los Angeles, where he was a graduate of the Business/Law program in 1999. |
