Deborah J. Salons joined Drinker Biddle in 2007 as an associate in the firm's Government and Regulatory Affairs Practice Group and a member of the Telecommunications and Mass Media Team. Deborah assists wireless telecommunications companies with matters involving state and federal policy and is actively involved in counseling clients involved in the Federal Communications Commission rebanding initiative.
Prior to joining the firm, Deborah was a communications associate for a Washington, D.C., firm, handling regulatory and transactional matters for broadcast radio and television, cable, and satellite clients. She also has experience as a business litigation associate for a Los Angeles firm, and served as a telecommunications licensing analyst for the Cable Television Franchise Services of the County of Los Angeles.
Deborah received her JD from Indiana University School of Law Bloomington in 2003. She served as editor in chief of the Federal Communications Law Journal and was a member of the moot court board. She also served as a legal intern in the Office of Commissioner Abernathy at the Federal Communications Commission, and as a law clerk at the National Association of Broadcasters. Deborah earned her master’s degree in communications management from the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Southern California in 2000, and a bachelor’s degree in communications and speech communication from the University of Washington.
In General. Deborah is currently admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, California and the United States District Court, Central District of California. She is a member of the Federal Communications Bar Association and currently serves as the president of the National Capital Area Chapter of American Women in Radio & Television. |
