Debbie and her brother, Tom Nason, represent the third generation of Nason family members to lead this 95 employee commercial construction company with revenues of more than $100 million annually. Debbie has over 18 years of experience in construction law. She first joined Nason Construction, Inc., in February 2000 to direct all corporate legal issues; however, her work for the family business began in the late 1970’s when she started as an assistant carpenter and civil engineer and helped with estimating services. Before joining the company as one of its three principals, Debbie spent 11 years in the private practice of law in Philadelphia, primarily at DLA Piper (then known as Piper and Marbury). Her practice involved construction and products liability litigation, representing architects, engineers, owners and contractors, as well as several Fortune 500 companies. She has extensive experience directing companies on risk management, best safety practices and assorted commercial law matters. She brings this broad base of experience to bear in the management of Nason Construction on all legal issues, including owner and subcontractor agreements, surety issues and dispute resolution. Debbie is also a permanent member of the company’s Safety Committee and is actively involved in managing the company’s licensing requirements, insurance programs, human resources and employee benefits. Debbie is involved in specific projects on a case by case basis and provides services to every department in the company. She is also an available resource for our clients.
Debbie received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Barnard College, Columbia University (1983), and a Juris Doctor degree from the Fordham University School of Law (1989).
