Debbie Waller has managed more than 100 archival collections for many of the most well known brand names in America including Sears, Kimberly Clark and Subaru. One of the nation’s leading archival management experts, Debbie serves as a trusted advisor to the Fortune 500, setting industry best practices, establishing benchmarks and devising new ways to leverage archives for strategic advantage.
During her 12+ years at The History Factory, Debbie has conducted more than 85 on-site audits and collection assessments for organizations around the country. She has directed archival audits for Sears, Time Inc., Bank of America and Colorado Fuel and Iron, and was responsible for overseeing the donation of the Mellon Bank Archives to the Historical Society of Western Pennsylvania. Prior to joining The History Factory, Debbie served as research assistant for the Peale Family Papers, a long-term project at the Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery.
With exposure to such a variety of collections, she has had a virtual laboratory from which to observe how organizations interact with history and built archival best practices informed by that knowledge. She received an M.S. in Library and Information Science with archives specialization from Catholic University and a B.A. in History from the University of Georgia. |
