David Ying is a Senior Managing Director of the firm’s corporate advisory business and is co-head of the firm’s restructuring practice.
Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Ying has had extensive experience leading successful restructuring advisory groups. Most recently, he was for two years a Managing Director of Miller Buckfire Ying & Co., LLC, a boutique restructuring advisory firm. Before that he spent six years as a Senior Managing Director of JLL Partners, a private equity investment firm that invests in turnaround situations. Prior to that, he led restructuring groups at Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette, Smith Barney and Drexel Burnham Lambert.
Restructurings with which Mr. Ying was associated include Aurora Foods, Interstate Bakeries Corporation, Oakwood Homes, Pegasus Satellite Communications, Mirant Corporation, Morrison Knudsen, Grand Union and Advantica.
Mr. Ying has a B.S. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. |
