David is responsible for ANZ's global risk management infrastructure, overseeing our Credit, Market and Operational Risk & Compliance teams and our Portfolio Management units, strategies, policies and processes.
Before his appointment as Chief Risk Officer, David was Head of Institutional Risk and ANZ's Chief Wholesale Credit Officer. In this role, he was responsible for the risk functions associated with ANZ’s largest corporate & institutional customers.
Before joining ANZ in 2003, David was a Managing Director at both Lehman Brothers and Credit Suisse in a variety of business and risk roles in London, New York and Hong Kong.
David holds a Bachelor of Business (Banking & Finance) from Monash University.
David is a Senior Associate of the Australian Institute of Bankers.
