David Sanders - Consultant FIA, ASA, MAAA Professional designations Fellow, Institute of Actuaries Associate, Society of Actuaries Member, American Academy of Actuaries Current responsibility David is a general insurance consultant in the London office of Milliman, where he has responsibility for a number of clients.Experience David specializes in general insurance. He qualified in 1974 and was involved with insurance consultancy with a major UK partnership, becoming a partner/principal in 1978. He joined Eagle Star in 1988 and was responsible for all actuarial work in respect of London Market, commercial business, international subsidiaries, strategic control, and mergers and acquisitions. David became a consultant for Hymans Robertson in 1995 and joined Hymans Robertson as a partner in 1997.David has considerable experience in pricing, reserving, mergers and acquisitions, reinsurance, run off business, and commutations. He currently concentrates on London Market and commercial business.David has also given expert testimony.David has received an award for outstanding contribution to general insurance at GIRO, the annual general insurance convention of the Institute of Actuaries. Affiliations David was previously chairman of London Market Actuaries Group and sat on the General Insurance Board of Institute of Actuaries.He has chaired a number of Institute Working Parties.Fellow, Royal Statistical Society.Presentations and publications David is author and co-author of a number of papers, many of which have been published in actuarial journals.
